Judges Choice Award
Project Name: Tradesman Properties Project
Builder:
Hochstetler Buildings Inc.

A new building with a historic design flare that well suits a restoration contractor’s business & headquarters. This project has excellent detailing and excellent use of the exposed western cedar P & T entry structure.   The slate roof and Virginia slate wainscot with blue stone cap from Michigan give the building a classic look and tie in perfectly with the contractor’s specialty work. The custom stone reception desk, wood look floor, Venetian glass interior windows, and Venetian plaster wall finishes are details that combine to create a light filled, well detailed office.  This is a showroom for the type of detail and quality I am sure this contractor practices. This is a fabulous project!

Perfect use of post frame construction to design a wide open natural light filled residence. Best RetroFitted/Remodeled Buildings Award
Project Name:
Baltimore Water Treatment Plant
Builder:
Eversole Builders Inc.

Post frame construction benefits were used to a full & creative level on this difficult phasing project. By framing over, around and beside the existing treatment plant building Eversole was able to keep them in full operation and to refresh the image of the facility with blue panels that blend with the old red brick building. A really nice project at a fabulous cost for a small community.
