Ohio BWC Accident Analysis Training
Important training information for applicable employers and supervisors
Hi everyone,
Ohio BWC requires Accident Analysis training for applicable employers, and we want to make sure you and your team have what you need to complete it easily.
Who needs to complete this?
Any supervisors who have completed DFSP or SUPR training are expected to take the Accident Analysis course.
Why this training matters
The Ohio BWC Accident Analysis training isn’t about drug testing—it’s about helping employers and supervisors understand why incidents happen and how to prevent them in the future.
The goal is to:
- Identify root causes of accidents, not just what happened, but why it happened
- Prevent repeat incidents by correcting hazards and unsafe practices
- Improve overall jobsite safety and reduce injuries
- Support compliance with BWC programs like DFSP/SUPR
For employers participating in DFSP or SUPR, having trained supervisors is part of demonstrating an active, effective safety program.
What to expect
- Each supervisor must create their own individual login Log in to OHID
- During account setup, they will need:
- Access to their email to receive a PIN
- The last 4 digits of their Social Security Number
Once logged in, they can access and complete the training through the BWC portal.
We’ve also included a detailed presentation to walk you through the process step-by-step.
If you run into any issues or have questions, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help.
Thanks,
Morgan
